2. When the oil filter paper is full
It will increase the pressure difference before and after the oil filter. At this time, if there is a bypass valve, the oil can be short-circuited to ensure the oil pressure, but the oil at the moment is not filtered.
The opening pressure of the bypass valve is set by the OEM. But if the matching oil filter is not equipped with a bypass valve, the OEM has already considered the bypass valve when designing the oil seat.
The setting of the bypass valve varies according to different filter models. Some of the pressure controls are springs and some are stainless steel springs, but the purpose is the same, that is, to control the pressure and must be precise.
In addition, the environmentally friendly paper filter body does not have a check valve and a bypass valve, but there is a complete system on the oil seat, so it does not mean that there is no check valve and bypass valve in the filter seat.
Good filtration must require the accuracy of rubber flap check valves and bypass valves. If the check valve cannot be closed, then the oil will flow backward and it will be of no practical significance. Similarly, if the bypass valve is not opened accurately, either the oil often short-circuits, or in extreme cases it cannot be opened in time.
